wedding season kick off!

finally! wedding festivities are here! we have 4 weddings within 4 months of each other and we started with a bang!

our good friends shauna and amir tied the knot on saturday and we were so honored to be a part of it.

we started celebrating thursday night with the rehearsal dinner at a really yummy persian food restaurant.

then friday night headed to piano piano for one last celebration before the wedding

and saturday was the big day! such a beautiful wedding, with a gorgeous bride and a groom with a heart of gold.

and then the very next day we celebrated a bachelorette lunch with erica who is getting married in august

 this past weekend i hosted a shower for my dear friend nicole along with shawna and our friend, gretchen.

we had a blast planning this cute little sprinkle

the party planners in us were giddy the night before, and we were so pleased how it turned out!

and baby doughty picked up some pretty sweet gifts as well!!

we recently had a few cold (well for southern california) and rainy days.

and me over here, did ya think i had time to check the weather, sent my kids to school in these outfits.

no jackets. no umbrellas. yes, do i get mother of the year? wink wink.

rewind

before our camping vacation i packed in as many playdates as i could with the kids...

(2 sleep overs in a row, having friends over, and playing with the neighborhood crew)

after all they weren't going to see any of their friends for awhile.

abby had her bff over to scrapbook, do make-up, spray hair color, and manis and pedis were a must too!

and of course i had to sneak in a beach trip...

and what better way to say good bye to California for a week than to feed my tummy some yummy cupcakes from The Cake Cottage

their cream cheese frosting is ah-mazing!

their cake is so moist and their frosting is the perfect consistency
