take me out to the ball game

it's that time of year again... {or has been i should say} that we dedicate our weekends to pony ball
with at least 2 games a week and sometimes sneaking in a couple practices, you can see why it has taken me since right now to blog about baseball.

it was such a gorgeous day here in southern california, cool breeze and sunny in mid october, just beautiful.

What a whirlwind All-Stars has been! 

Anyone who knows me, knows that I like to have a planned schedule for almost everyday :) And our life has been anything but that. BUT it has been so much fun!

It's the end of the road...for now.

We do have so much to celebrate. This All-Star team is the first Shetland team to make it this far in All-Stars.

I now just remembered to take my camera to last nights game and we are in the middle of the season! Sammy got to play catcher and he did a great job!

It really amazes me that this baseball season has come and gone! It feels like last week we took Sammy to his first practice, and now he's talking about playing fall ball. My in-laws were kind enough to open their house up and let myself and Sam along with other parents to plan an end of the year BBQ for our boys. With swimming, food, and trophies how could we go wrong? The afternoon went smooth and everyone enjoyed hanging out all together one last time!

Sammy's baseball team participated in the Field of Dreams that The Lake Elsinore Storm Baseball Team puts on once a year. The boys (and their sisters) got to walk around the diamond in a pre-game parade! It was very fun to watch all the little faces light up as we walked around the field.
