picture heavy random post

our summer has began.

weekends spent outside with friends and family.

late nights bbqing and swimming.

and lots and lots of random picture taking. lots.

 i have finally jumped on the iphone band wagon... and how i ever survived before??? i don't know.

and the kids take a lot of video and pics of their cute faces!!

 swimming has become a weekly habit.

 playing outside til it gets dark, like at 8 p.m.

 hanging out with great friends

 letting the men do all the cooking ;)

WELCOME SUMMER!!!

spring

spring is all around & we are loving every single second of it

when it's nice & sunny we're at the beach

when it's cool & breezy we are riding around on our local town trolley

and when it's cold & rainy we are cozy inside

spring brings sunny days & rainy weather

bright flowers & birds chirping

the kids were recently BOTH recognized for their artistic abilities

made this mama over here oh so proud, let me tell ya!

makes my heart so happy that they love art and love to show off their passion

little man's class portrayed a piece by edgar degas' Little Dancer by drawing it with oil pastels

and guess what!? his was chosen to be displayed the whole month of february at our local mall

go sammy bear!

and little miss abby babbs was artist of the month at her school 

way to represent those kinders abby!!

her art work was also an oil pastel piece of a snowman

which was hanging in the front office for the month!

mommy & daddy are so very proud of our kiddos 

and the way they shine!!

then back at home our tradition of daddy reading Twas the Night Before Christmas

and setting out milk, cookies, and a note for the big jolly guy

the next morning sammy woke up at 4:30 AM

thank god for the phineas and ferb marathon on the disney channel...

he lasted until 6:30, then i let him wake everyone up to open the gifts that santa brought

they both ended up being on santa's nice list...

blessed little kids i tell ya!

hello!
I hope that everyone had a cozy, warm, heartfelt, memory making Thanksgiving!

We took a week vacay to to Colorado to spend Thanksgiving with Papa Bill aka my dad.
had a blast visiting, bowling, eating a yummy Thanksgiving dinner and going back for more & more, venturing up to the Black Canyon, visiting the Ute Museum, saw Harry Potter (in a really cool old school theater)...boy we did a lot and it was great!


now we are back in our routine, my Christmas decorations almost finished...

I am so feeling this season right now, I'm in the mood.... Christmas shopping started... holiday radio playing... so excited to get our Christmas cards mailed... 'tis the season! Happy December!

every time my eyes see the ocean it sends a feeling to my heart.

the feeling of desire. love. peace.

i will live at the beach.

for now, i'm thankful i get to visit as much as i do.

I caught Sammy & Mickey lounging together watching cartoons the other day. My phone was the only camera I had access to at that moment.

He is such a good puppy to let Sammy lie down with him :)
