i have a major sweet tooth...

like so major...

if sweets were good for you i'd be the healthiest person around...

really i would

 this s'mores cupcake from Frosted was soooo yummy...

and yes, it was my breakfast on the way to vegas :)

 and my after lunch snack that day...

a birthday cake pop from starbucks

perfect while reading a funny book by her.

 and the next day...

a stop at The Cupcakery in vegas...

we stopped at the one in the Monte Carlo

oh em gee!

a moist raspberry cake topped with a champagne frosting

{and of course gorgeous glitter}

and these hawaiian cuties were made by yours truly...

a pineapple cake with buttercream frosting...

this weekend was a blast!

we just lounged the entire weekend,

GOTCHA! us? lounge? yeahhhhh, right.

i don't think it's in our blood to have lazy weekends anymore ;)

we started off friday with a birthday party at chuck e. cheese's

(am i the only mom who walks out of there with a pounding headache...every. time?)

but it's well worth it seeing the face on abby as she rides the electric horse video game,

or when sammy hits the jackpot for 125 tickets and you woulda thought he won the lottery.

saturday was sam's 10 year high school reunion.

we had a blast.

makes us feel all old and stuff though, ya know?

mine is next year, and i'm still 26...until tomorrow. i rub it in occasionally ;)

sunday we attended a birthday party for our best friend's lil sis

who turned the BIG 1-8.

and i was honored to make cupcakes!

doesn't it remind you of a kenny chesney song?

all in all a fun filled weekend with people we love!

life couldn't be better...

well...it would be a smidge better if it wasn't sticky hot at the end of september :)

Of course I said "YES"

I did my research & found that the modern symbol of 28 years of marriage is the orchid.
Perfect!
Went to Joann's Fabric Store and purchased silk orchids for toppers.

They turned out so elegant.
And were oh so yummy!

Making Halloween Cupcakes!

The holidays are the best time of the year! Halloween is just the beginning! I love starting new traditions with Sammy and Abby! This year we made Halloween cupcakes. Boy oh boy!!! The two of them had such a blast pouring, mixing, baking, and decorating! I had a great time watching them make a mess, not having a care in the world! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
